It has been just 9 days, sice I had this book on my disposal, and the only thing I can say about this is just a 'Wow'.
Best book available in the market for pharmacology, not only in terms of MCQ but also in terms of notes, pneumonics, flow chart and concept boxes. The notes which are provided in each chapters are really awesome, well planned, and digging dip into the concept field. If you read this well, you actually know 'what is happening' and 'why is happening'. In other words, it's not just franatically and haphazardly written, like many other guide book available in the markets.
MCQs: Lot and lots of new MCQs are added, High yielding facts are highlighted well and covered in McQ sections. Explanation to MCQ is also very nice.
After studying for 9 days, what I found about the book is
PROS :
1. Excellent Notes
2. Nice Presentation.
3. Detailing
4. Concept oriented.
5. Weightage in MCQ section.
6. Lots off new pattern question added.
7. Support from social media.
8. Paper quality ( I find glossy paper a bit refreshing, but some may found it annoying, depends upon the person )
9. Image based question.
CONS :
Like every other CBS books, printing is small, sometimes while studying for 3-4 hours, it caused headaches .
Overall, a very good book. Ranjan Patel is one of the leading faculties in the field of pharma, and his vast experience, deep understanding and dedication to this subject made this book really awesome.
Whether you are Intern, Post intern or a UG student, this book serves well to everyone. Just make some time to read it. Initially, it will take some to finish this book (as I have finished only 59% in 9 days) , but once you finished and revised once, you will be master in the subject.
I read Sparsh Gupta in my UG days, but Personally, I found this book more awesome than Sparsh guptas. Ranjan Patel sir went deep in this subject, you actually understand pharmacology after reading it, while this is not the case with Sparsh Gupta. Don't get me wrong, Sparsh Gupta is also a nice book, but it has no match with Ranjan Patel's when came head to head.
Hope this will help you. I'll edit my review again, once I complete reading this book.
